Hydrotherapy Classes
Hydrotherapy Classes with an Exercise Physiologist
Movement Rehabilitation is excited to be offering hydrotherapy demonstrations and exercise programming as part of our treatment plans.
What is Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is sometimes referred to as water therapy, aquatic therapy or hydropathy. Hydrotherapy introduces water as part of the treatment plan for a wide range of conditions.
Applications range from the simple submersion of individual body parts such as feet or arms. Larger hydrotherapy facilities allow for full-body immersion. These enable in-water exercises, which may be performed reducing the effects of gravity and the potential of fall related injuries. Changes in water temperature, pressure and flow are used to stimulate bodily functions like circulation.
Your team at Movement Rehabilitation will consider the application and suitability of hydrotherapy in your treatment plan.

Exercise physiologist and director @ Leichhardt
I became interested in rehabilitation early on in life, after having my own sporting injuries. I since expanded my interest from just sports injuries to chronic disease while studying exercise physiology at UNSW. I continue to play touch football, having represented Australia on multiple occasions. Outside of work and sport I love to travel, eat and aspire to be a professional photographer on the side.
